Shailan Patel debated at Pine View School in Sarasota, Florida, for four years. Shailan qualified for the TOC and NSDA Nationals twice, along with NCFL Nationals 3 times. He was ranked as high as 8th in the nation and first in Florida in PF by the NSD. During his career, Shailan quartered Blue Key, Paradigm Dowling, States and went to late elim rounds at UNLV, Plano West, and Grapevine. As the Captain of PF for 2 years Shailan coached 100 middle and high school students.
