Max debated for 3 years at Sage Hill School, earning 14 career bids and qualifying twice to the Tournament of Champions. In addition to winning Meadows and Valley, he reached finals of Stanford, Berkeley, Peninsula, Damus, UT Austin, the DebateLA Challenge, and the Califonria Round Robin, and late elims of NDCA, Greenhill, Glenbrooks, Emory, Nano Nagle, USC, the Valley Round Robin, and the Nano Nagle Round Robin (2x). His debate interests include impact turns, other policy arguments, settler colonialism, and various arguments pertaining to international relations theory. Outside of debate, Max enjoys listening to music, reading Foreign Affairs and War on the Rocks, running track and cross country, and anything related to Star Wars.
