Sophia Dal Pra is the Head Policy Debate Coach at Dublin Jerome High School in Columbus, Ohio and an Assistant Debate Coach at the University of West Georgia. Throughout her coaching career, she has coaches students of a variety of formats and skill-levels to outrounds at both the national circuit level and the local level, including NSDA nationals and the TOC. As a competitor at the University of West Georgia, she was a First-Round At Large Bid Recipient to the NDT, qualified to the NDT three times, and was a quarterfinalist at CEDA Nationals. She has also received awards for being the 2024 NDT District Six Debater of the Year Award, a CEDA All-American Debater, and a CEDA Summa Cum Laude National Debate Scholar. She was one of the most successful "flex" debaters her year, being well-versed and successful on both kritikal and policy arguments. Internationally, she is a finalist of the Northern Caribbean University’s 2024 British Parliamentary Debate Tournament in Jamaica. Sophia has worked extensively with urban debate leagues and local NSDA leagues. Previously, Sophia has coached at the Houston Honor's Debate Workshop in Public Forum and the Debate Boutique. Outside of debate, Sophia enjoys making music, reading, and the outdoors.
