Dr. Hilligoss is the current Director of Debate at Samford University. Derek has previously been an assistant coach at the University of Kansas and Wake Forest University, working with a range of students from first-year debaters to deep elimination rounds of college National tournaments. As a debater, I earned a first-round bid at the University of Central Oklahoma. I love teaching a range of debate styles from policy to kritikal and am working to learn more LD theories and arguments and how those interact with policy/kritikal arguments.
