Jason recently became the Head Coach of Speech and Debate at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School in Acton, MA. Previously, he was an Assistant Debate Coach at Albuquerque Academy in ABQ, NM for 3 years. He has coached numerous LD and PF qualifiers to NSDA Nationals and TOC as well as multiple State Champions in LD and PF. He competed for 3 years at Lake Highlands High School (Dallas, TX) and 4 years at Rice University (Houston, TX). As a high school competitor, he advanced to TFA State elimination rounds in PF and NSDA (then: NFL) elimination rounds in PF. As a collegiate competitor on the NPDA circuit, he finished 2nd at NPTE and as a Quarterfinalist at NPDA Nationals. He prefers to coach and judge progressive and technical arguments in debate, especially kritiks. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology from Rice University (2019) as well as a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of New Mexico (2024). In addition to coaching Speech and Debate, he teaches Philosophy at Assumption University in Worcester, MA. He has completed two academic books: A Hegelian Theory of Divine Revelation (Palgrave Macmillan, 2025) and Contra Subjectivism with Hegel and Heidegger: On Phenomenology and Religion (Bloomsbury, Under Contract).
