Joseph is a freshman at Florida State University studying political science and Spanish. He competes in NFA LD at FSU and also coaches at Christopher Columbus High School.While debating at Christopher Columbus, Joseph peaked at #1 on Debate Land during his junior year and earned 12 bids to the Tournament of Champions (5 gold, 7 silver). He reached the semifinals at FFL States, Nova Titan, The Tradition, and Isidore Newman (twice), quarterfinaled at Grapevine, octofinaled at Berkeley and Sunvite, and cleared to elimination rounds at Blue Key, Emory, Marist, and UKSO.At FSU, Joseph competes in NFA LD and placed in the top 30 nationally at the 2026 NFA tournament.Throughout high school, Joseph primarily focused on theory and policy-style arguments. In college, he has shifted toward critical debate, especially the Capitalism Kritik, which he ran in every negative round during his first year of NFA LD. He has also read a range of other critical arguments, topicality, and more, and most enjoys teaching kritiks and theory.
