Micah Byron-Smarra
Camp Instructor
Micah is attending the University of Michigan in the fall, majoring in Political Science. Micah debated for Waring for 6 years (4 in PF, 2 in LD) and acquired 8 career bids to the TOC (all in LD). Micah primarily specialized in the Kritik throughout high school, reading primarily black studies argumentation and kritikal arguments that met plan focus/framework. They coached at, and directed the Outreach Debate x W.IN winter camp, led a mentor group as part of Vanguard Outreach, and additionally taught at Lumos Debate and Libertas Debate Academy. Micah also served as the captain of Waring Debate, and de-facto assistant coach. Micah is excited to work with students at NSD this summer!
