Grey Parfenoff is a junior at the University of Iowa double-majoring in communication studies and philosophy. In her three years doing critical debate at Iowa, she has consistently made it to elimination rounds of national tournaments, as well as winning the 2025 Cross Examination Debate Association national championship and getting a first-round bid to the 80th National Debate Tournament. Grey is excited to teach philosophy and K debate and is also very capable of teaching policy. She is currently the Lincoln-Douglas coach for Iowa City West Highschool, where she has helped students achieve multiple bids to the TOC. Her teaching philosophy begins with the premise that intentioned engagement with scholarship is the foundation of competitive success, and aims to foster a curious environment in her labs.
