Christi attended Brooklyn Technical High School and competed in policy debate all four years of high school. Christi is excited to teach kriitkal argumentation at NSD. While debating, they specialized in Black trans feminism and broader critiques of anti-blackness. Some of Christi's competitive successes includes being champion of the 2025 Harvard National Speech and Debate Tournament, the 2025 NYC Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament, and breaking at the 2026 Tournament of Champions. In regard to coaching, Christi is proud to have assisted EC Powers in pre-rounding Kansas SS (The Champions) at this year’s CEDA Nationals. Additionally, last summer Christi worked as a director at the ECHO project, a 7-week initiative designed to teach kids from Success about how to do performance debate and theorize Intersectionally about their identity inside and outside of the debate space. What was most valuable about this experience was being able to make high level theory accessible to PF debaters and speech students who were just getting into policy debate. Christi believes that the ECHO project gave them the reflexivity, patience, and communication skills necessary to be a good coach.
