Alex is a rising freshman at Rice University studying mechanical engineering. He competed in PF for 2 years and LD in senior year at the Awty International School in Houston, Texas. In PF, he qualified both years to the TOC, notably championing TFA State and Nano Nagle, receiving 10 bids and clearing and occasionally reaching deep elim rounds at tournaments like the New York City Invitational, Glenbrooks, and the TOC. In LD, he reached mid elim rounds at tournaments like the Stanford Invitational, Nano Nagle, and the TOC Digitals, notably seeding high at tournaments like the Longhorn Classic. Alex has 2 years of experience in coaching debate across his school team and various organizations. He specializes in policy and philosophical debate, as well as debating policy against critiques.
