Sebastian graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University with a degree in Finance, where he also served as President of the FSU Debate Team for two years. He has been a Public Forum adjunct coach at Lake Highland for five years, during which his students have earned dozens of bids and won tournaments such as Marist, Blue Key, Nova, The Tradition, and Sunvite. His teams have also reached elimination rounds at prestigious tournaments including the Tournament of Champions, Golden Desert, the Florida State Tournament, Lexington, Yale, Berkeley, and Durham.

At the collegiate level, Sebastian competed in NFA Lincoln-Douglas debate, where he was a tournament champion at both the Marshall and Rebel tournaments and reached elimination rounds at the Gorlok, Washburn, and NFA National Championship. His accomplishments include being named to the All-American Team (recognizing the top ten debaters in the country), receiving the Student Choice Award (voted on by peers as the best debater in the nation), placing in the top five at the prestigious Grand Prix, and earning the second seed and third speaker award at NFA Nationals after going undefeated in prelims, finishing among the top five debaters in the country.
