Cooper debated for 4 years for Montgomery Blair High School, winning 5 national circuit tournaments including Durham, Bronx, Ivy Street Round Robin and Harvard Round Robin, and finaling 3 including NSDA Season Opener and Emory. In the 2024-2025 season, he was the Public Forum Bid Leader, 3rd ranked team by Averill points, and ranked as high as 1st on the DebateDrills rankings and 2nd on the DebateLand rankings. Copper also qualified to the Gold TOC 4 years in a row, obtaining 14 bids, and placing top 16 twice. Outside of competition, he co-founded Debatify.app, an AI assistant for debate that has reached over 15,000 visitors.
