In Public Forum, the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) releases topics on a bi-monthly basis for September/October and November/December, after which they release them monthly through April and then a topic for NSDA Nationals in June.
In Lincoln Douglas, the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) releases topics on a bi-monthly basis and then a special topic for NSDA Nationals in June.
The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) chooses the annual topic for Policy.
