
Benjamin is a former Graduate Assistant at Western Kentucky University, where he played an integral role in coaching the university team to two consecutive sweeps at the National Forensics League tournament. During his two years at WKU, Benjamin coached four students to All-American honors on the NFA-LD circuit. As a competitor, he participated in multiple debate formats including NDT-CEDA, NFA-LD, and NPDA. He achieved notable success as a two-time qualifier to the NFA-LD National Tournament and earned a first-round bid to the National Parliamentary Tournament of Excellence. During his college years, Benjamin also worked with Debate Kansas City, an urban debate league serving middle and high school students in the Kansas City metro area. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Kansas and brings a strong background in competitive speaking and debate education.
