Chris Shen debated at Princeton High School in New Jersey for four years, serving as Head Captain his senior year. He qualified to the TOC thrice, accumulated 7 career Gold bids, and was ranked Top 10 in the nation. He’s also championed several tournaments, including the University of Pennsylvania consecutively in his junior and senior years, the Ridge Debates, and the New Jersey State Championships. He’s also reached late elimination rounds at numerous tournaments like Yale and Big Lex. Individually, he’s won multiple top 10 speaker awards at tournaments such as Big Lex, Columbia, and Scarsdale. Chris loves debate for the community he’s found in it and he’s excited to be teaching at NSD this summer!
